Before getting into the review on the strain, I’d like to give you some more background information about how the product is formulated. Afghan Moon is currently available in the TruPOD. The TruPOD is a vape pod that’s made of pure cannabis oil and natural terpenes. It has no cutting, or thinning agents in it. I try this out on not only an empty set of lungs, but also right as I get up before I get any coffee and have caffeine.

Afghan Moon Effects:

I take in a few 2-3 second draws from the TruStik and instantly can tell that this is an extremely potent strain. I normally do not feel strong effects from a vaporizer after a few draws, but this is way different. True to Heavy Indica form, my eyes get slightly heavy and I feel my entire body begin to relax from head to toe. My normal early morning anxiety from night terrors due to childhood PTSD begin to fade away until I no longer notice any anxiety. Right about the time I notice that the anxiety has melted away, I notice something strange that’s missing. What’s missing you ask? The physical pain I have from multiple herniated, bulging discs in my spine. I have ten herniated discs and being pain free is almost unheard of first thing in the morning because I haven’t stretched out my muscles and tendons yet. I’m very impressed so far with the effects of the Afghan Moon. I can confidently say that this is the strongest and most effective Indica vaporizer I’ve ever tried, and I’ve tried a lot in a bunch of different legal states.

I normally have to smoke a joint of good quality whole flower to get the intensity of effects that I’m experiencing on the Afghan Moon. When I give the product a test at night prior to bed, I experience the same effects, but this time I take 10 draws from the TruStik because I’m about to go to bed.

Not only did I wake up far less, only three times, but I experience some of the best sleep I’ve had in a very long time. This strain works exceptionally well for the conditions that I’m treating, which are anxiety, depression, physical pain, muscle spasms and insomnia. The euphoria of this strain is great and really goes well with the potent, sedating effects.

Afghan Moon Flavor:

If you’re familiar with the distinct flavor difference of a heavy indica strain, this is going to feel like you’re right at home. As the vapor crosses my palette, I taste a complex and very nuanced flavor profile that’s sweet but musky and finishes with a herbal/floral spice that’s characteristic of an Afghan landrace.

For patients that find many vapes aren’t strong enough, this is something that I would highly recommend trying.
